Dumfries made his debut for Inter Milan in Serie A on March 24, 1968, against Juventus. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, making 24 appearances in the league that season. Over the next few seasons, Dumfries became a regular starter for Inter Milan, appearing in 25 matches each year between 1968 and 1971. In 1972, he made his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League, where he played in two games.
Career Milestones:
In 1973, Dumfries scored his first goal for Inter Milan in a match against Sampdoria. This was followed by another goal in a match against Fiorentina in 1974. In 1975, Dumfries scored his final goal for Inter Milan in a match against AC Milan. During his time with the club, Dumfries also won three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies, and a UEFA Cup.
